I don't know Krista personally, but I've been part of her shebang for the last 2 years and I was shocked when I hear her news. Her energy comes through her emails and her blog. I'll be thinking about your team and Krista tomorrow when you run!! Keep us posted on how it went.

Awesome! So true -- I am sure people think I'm a lunatic when I walk lunges all around the playground and then do tricep lifts, pushups etc with the park benches! Fitting it in is key - and as you get more and more into it I find that I am more willing to be creative about fitting it in. I know that once it gets really hot mid summer I"ll be struggling a bit...but I will try to get creative!

Awesome! One of the things we'll talk about on MomTV tomorrow night is "reframing" - when I spoke to you today and we talked about taking the distance and speed anxiety out of the game everything changed for you. You already had proof that could run for 40ish minutes and not die... and that was with fairly good exertion! If you can get yourself to think more in terms of time and not your pace it definitely makes things less scary, doesn't it?

One of the things to remember is that this is about more than a 13.1 mile run! I love that you said training for life!

Me too! My hurdle last week was my health - allergies killed me and insomnia struck ... I had about 3 days with no activity and that drives me stir crazy but at the same time makes it hard to push myself out the door to resume routine ... but I knew if I started out walking i'd likely end up running .... again, it was about more than the run!

Even just getting out for a walk to MOVE can be enough to make you remember how good it feels to exercise. I think the more you do it the more you want to do it. I like to wake up at 5:30am to get a workout it whether its running or yoga - it doesn't always happen but it really does set up my day and the tone of my training for the week. WOOT there's no backin' out now ;)

I was not only an overnight camp camper but I was a counselor ~ while I am sure it was scary for my parents to send me away the first time, I had fun! I plan to send my kids to an adoption specific sleepover camp when they are a little older! I will try to tune in on Wednesday!

I love floating goal too ... someone create an image of a floating goal with someone throwing sandbags of it lol.... weight down that goal!

That lofty goal is attainable because we are building two smaller goals (yet lofty-ish) into the plan! Imagine if the half-marathon were to some day be part of your training plan for an even bigger goal?
